Livnot U'Lehibanot Leading the rehabilitation of Gaza border communities

Livnot U'Lehibanot

Similar to the Second Lebanon War, in the current 'Iron Swords' war, 'Livnot U'Lehibanot' organization has mobilized for a national mission. The organization set up a management team in the border area, assembled Hebrew-speaking work crews, and descended from the heights of Safed in the Galilee to aid in the repair, restoration, and renewal of buildings damaged in the Gaza periphery villages, in Sderot, and its vicinity during the events of October 7 and the ongoing 'Iron Swords' war

Rehabilitation of Gaza border communities

'Livnot U'Lehibanot' arrived in the Gaza periphery with the goal of strengthening the residents who had experienced severe horrors. The mission was to help residents return to their homes, settlements, and communities.

We thought, what could be more unifying than children returning home, going back to kindergartens and schools?

Livnot initially focused on the rehabilitation of educational institutions: kindergartens, youth homes, informal educational buildings, youth gathering places, clubs, and libraries.

Of course, anyone who sought help in rehabilitating a dining hall or a residential home was met with a positive and welcoming response

'Livnot U'Lehibanot' sees great importance in participating in the rehabilitation of the Gaza periphery, together with the involvement of Jewish communities in the Diaspora and the recruitment of professionals and volunteers from abroad.

The spirit of mutual responsibility led to a connection between local communities, volunteers from Israel and abroad, together in a joint effort to rehabilitate affected settlements

For 'Livnot U'Lehibanot', it is a privilege to take part in a national mission that will impact the future of the State of Israel and play a decisive role in improving the quality of life for the residents of the Gaza periphery and in building the connection between the Jewish Diaspora and the Land of Israel. Our work is not merely physical - we paint buildings and repair damage. Beyond that, we form personal and emotional connections with the residents of the area and the soldiers at the bases. The teams at 'Livnot U'Lehibanot' believe that through cooperation and joint effort, we can heal wounds, strengthen the community, and build a better future
